Milling repair or replacement parts
Milling repair or replacement parts
Whether I'm working on an undamaged part, a repaired part, or a part that has been scavenged from different motorcycles, when it comes to vintage aluminum motorcycle cases, I always have to check to see if the bearing seats are in line with the axles.
I need to ensure they're in the right place if they're not. Usually, though, on 80-year-old motorcycles and older, the aluminum components of the mechanics will require more repairs than what was mentioned earlier.
Once those repairs are completed, I use a milling machine to clean the surfaces and ensure everything is in working order before putting it back together. I like doing this because it's precise work.
